 This year the Oceânico Group is once again honoured to welcome some of the World’s greatest golfers to the Oceânico Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura, to compete in the Portugal Masters 2008.
Considered one of the leading European golf tournaments, the Masters will be held in Portugal for the second time in October 2008 and we are privileged that it will take place on one of the golf courses within the Oceânico Group´s stunning portfolio.
The tournament has been made possible through a partnership between, Tourism of Portugal, the European Tour and Oceânico Golf who will now work together to stage the event during the next two years. The introduction of the Portugal Masters recognizes the quality of the golf facilities and tourism infrastructure that now exist in Portugal, enabling the country to welcome the elite of golf professionals, worldwide coverage by the international press with an expected 50.000 spectators attending the event.
With its presence on the PGA’s European Circuit assured until 2009, the Portugal Masters will further enhance Portugal’s position as one of the finest golf destinations in the world, and for the second time this year we look forward to welcoming visitors from around the world to a very successful tournament.
